Onward to Vicotry

Another grey day in England brought Swindon Town to the pitch.  This time to meet a sister club on green.  Today they would be playing against Watford.  A team they had only trained with in friendly scrimmages until now.

Up front today we had O Green and C. Austin as our primary strikers with D. Lucas at goal.  The game did not take long to get under way with Cteve putting two in the back of the net before reaching the 20th minute. It seems very comfortable to think of Cteve as the number 3 striker on the team right behind the Greens.  Not to be ignored D. Cowie charged on in on Lucas during the 13th minute to find S-Towns goal.  Moving deeper into the second half Fitz Hall, who is a little known center mid-fielder for Swindon Town, comes up with a goal of his own in the 32nd minute.  Ending the half on a not so good note S. Ramsden land himself a red card in the 43rd minute of the game taking the Swoodilypoopers down to 10 men for the second half.

The second half was a rather uneventful event with O Green scoring in the 76th minute taking Swindon Town to a decided victory of 4 - 1 over Watford.  It is worth mentioning that Swindon Town had 6 shots on goal with 4 goals scored and D. Lucas had 3 saves to his one goal allowed. Even though Swindon Town is a League One transplant up to the Championship League they are proving that they can play and they can contend.
